Buderim Marketplace Medical Centre is committed to providing comprehensive general practice care to all individuals and families in the community.
Consultations/Appointments: Please ring 5445 1046 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time.
Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your doctor has been called away.
Longer consultation times are available. Interpreter service can also be provided.
Our appointment books will remain open at all times to new patients. We are only too happy to look after your visitors and friends to whom you choose to recommend us.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, eftpos and credit card. Fees are displayed at the front counter.
Pension card and Veteran Card holders are bulk billed. Health care card holders pay a reduced fee. Fees apply on Saturday Morning, please check when making appointment for costs, excluding Veteran card holders.
Please ensure you bring your Medicare card and concession cards with you on the day of your appointment.
Home visits are performed for regular patients of this practice who are either too ill or otherwise unable to attend the surgery.
Unfortunately home visits disrupt surgery efficiency and will only be done if absolutely necessary.
Home visits will be done at the Doctor’s discretion.
Phoning our Doctors:
Doctors in the practice may be contacted during normal surgery hours.
If the doctor is with a patient a message will be taken you will be advised by the reception staff when it is likely that the doctor will return your call. Your call will always be put through to the doctor in an emergency.

Dr David Hawes
Has been practicing for over 35 years. He has special interest in Asthma, Skin Cancers and Heart and Lung disease.
Dr Hawes completed his internship at the Brisbane Mater Hospital. He then moved to Nambour General Hospital at which time he met his lovely wife and made the Sunshine Coast his home, with his two children.

Dr Kay Duncan
Has been practicing for over 35 years. Her special interests are Women’s & Children’s Health, Preventative Medicine and Food Intolerances.
Dr Duncan has spent her last 17 years at the Buderim Marketplace Medical Centre. When Dr Duncan is not working, she enjoys time doing her embroidery, patch work and enjoying time with her grown up sons. . M.B., B.S. (QLD)

Has been practicing medicine for 20 years. Her special interests are Womens Health, Childrens Health & Preventative Medicine.

Dr Roger Faint
Has been practicing for over 35 years. He graduated from the University of QLD, and worked for the RFDS in Cairns. He worked in Mitchell for 8 years, as a solo rural doctor, and developed discrete skills in Skin, Aged Care, Accident & Emergency and Palliate Care.
Dr Chris Lawson
Has been practicing for 30 years. He enjoys all aspects of General Medicine, Family Medicine and Preventive Care.
Dr Rob Park
Dr Rob Park completed his training in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast. Dr Park has an interest in all family medicine, complex and rare medical conditions , paediatrics, mental health and sports medicine. He is the author of a medical textbook and an exam writer for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has a strong passion for teaching doctors.
He is a keen squash player and an average gardener.
Dr Anita Ponniah
Dr Anita Ponniah completed her medical studies in 1993.
She did hospital and post graduate training in New Zealand, then worked in a large General Practice in Wellington, before she moved here in 2008.
Outside of work, she enjoys being with her family and two dogs, the beach and Scrabble. Dr Ponniah is experienced in all aspects of Family Medicine and has special interests in Women's Health, Skin and Travel Medicine. She has postgraduate qualifications in Obstetrics/Gynaecology and General Practice.

Dr. Michael Naue
Dr Michael Naue, is a full time GP with over 35 years experience. Prior to moving here in 2008, he worked in his own surgery as a partner in a busy practice in Wellington, NZ.
Experienced in all aspects of Family Medicine, he has special interest in skin and sports medicine.
He shares his spare time with his wife and two children, when not cycling, bushwalking or learning to balance his surfski.
Dr Naue holds postgraduate qualifications in Obstertrics/Gynaecology, Sports Medicine and General Practice.

Our reception staff includes our long term Practice Manager Louise, who has been managing here for 14 years, Anita, Sara, Phillipa and Susan and Sammie are the friendly receptionist.
Our friendly, caring nursing staff include Ramona,Jules and Kate. They play a vital role in the high quality medicine care provided here at the Buderim Marketplace Medical Centre. They run our treatment room efficiently and help our patients in many ways including Wound Care, Childhood Immunisations, Yearly Health Assessments for the Elderly and Asthma care.
